Robert Henkey
As president of Metal Tech, Rob is responsible for a growing company that exceeds $22,000,000 in annual sales while still maintaining a professional friendly relationship with his customers. Rob leads his team to ensure all aspects of the construction process including sales, research and development, growth, and cost analysis are done with utmost quality. Rob is a qualified construction management professional and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Grand Valley State University. Rob has more than 30 years of experience as a construction entrepreneur and has managed all aspects of the construction process. Rob works side by side with building owners, property managers, developers, and schools to assist them in making decisions about allocating resources by providing assurance that construction information is accurate.
Randy Zandbergen
CFO
As the Chief Financial Office for Metal Tech, Randy is responsible for managing risk, financial planning, data analysis and reporting. Randy has been with Metal Tech since 1999.
Liz Wiseman
Liz has more than 20 years of experience in commercial and industrial construction. She began her career as an intern for a large General Contractor and upon receiving her BBA in Operations Management from Grand Valley State University in 2003, she began at Metal Tech as a Project Coordinator. Liz has worked in every aspect of the office including accounting, estimating, and project management. Liz currently oversees the daily operations at Metal Tech focusing on quality, safety, efficiency, and effectiveness.
Glen Drenten
Glen has nearly 30 years of experience in the construction industry. His expertise includes Pre-Engineered steel, new construction, and remodels. Glen began his career as a laborer with a local General Contractor and worked diligently to become Vice President of Construction. Glen joined Metal Tech in 2018 with a focus on estimating, sales, and project management.
From start to finish of any project, Glen puts quality and safety first. He believes strongly in making partnerships with his customers so that in the end excellence is delivered.
Yvonne Bedolla
Director of Human Resources
As Human Resources Director, Yvonne brings more than 20 years of HR experience and has spent the past 11 years leading and growing Metal Tech’s HR department. Passionate about people, employee benefits, and creating meaningful workplace experiences, she is dedicated to supporting employees while helping the organization achieve its goals.
Throughout her career, Yvonne has focused on building strong relationships, fostering employee engagement, and bridging gaps between employees, leadership, and business operations. Her expertise spans talent management, employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance.
Yvonne believes that a company’s success begins with its people. She is committed to cultivating a positive workplace culture where employees feel valued, supported, and empowered to reach their full potential. Her people-first approach has helped strengthen Metal Tech’s culture and contribute to the company’s continued growth and success.
Lance Huber
Safety Director
Lance Huber serves as the Safety Director for Metal Tech and is responsible for leading the company’s safety and health programs across all operations. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Safety and Health Management from Grand Valley State University in 2020. Lance holds both the Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) credentials. He works closely with field teams, project managers, and trade partners to promote safe work practices, provide training, manage risk, and ensure compliance with all applicable safety regulations. Passionate about creating a strong safety culture, he is committed to helping every project be completed safely, efficiently, and successfully while ensuring every employee returns home safely at the end of the day.
Matt Henkey
Senior Project Manager
Matt is a skilled and dedicated civil engineer with over 5 years of experience in the construction industry. After graduating from Michigan State University with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering he began working as a project manager. Throughout his career, Matt has worked on a wide range of projects and has a proven ability to manage projects, resources, and schedules efficiently. He is adept at collaborating and communicating with architects, contractors, and clients to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Ileah Doctor
Alex Santiago
Alex has more than 25 years of metal construction experience. He began as a laborer while at Calvin College, working on metal roofs. After graduating and pursuing other career opportunities he went back to his love of construction. Alex uses his expertise to estimate, project manage, and close out projects under budget and ahead of schedule. He believes in the notion of over communicating, while developing relationships with general contractors and trade partners.
Noah Meek
Project Manager
Noah brings a strong foundation of construction experience and a Bachelor’s degree in finance. He combines his industry knowledge and sharp financial acumen to deliver projects on time and within budget. He is committed to driving operational excellence and building lasting client relationships at Metal Tech.
Matt Sullivan
Foreman
Matt Sullivan started at Metal Tech in the summer of 2017 after graduating from East Grand Rapids High School. Since then, he has established himself as a highly skilled and dependable foreman. Matt takes a hands-on approach and provides strong leadership on his job sites. He is dedicated to getting his projects completed efficiently and on time.
